After A Year, It Deserves A Proper Name
Mood:  celebratory
Topic: Blogs
I started this blog over a year ago thinking I would never keep it going because, well, I'm just not a talker. I much prefer to listen to others talk or to read what they have written, yet here I am, still making at least a few entries every month. I admit I do have trouble thinking of things to write about and if it weren't for Lauren I certainly wouldn't have had much to write about at all and would have given up long ago.

Anyway, I don't even know if it's possible to change the name, but I'm trying to come up with a proper name for this thing. So far I have "Honey Bunny", a nickname around our house and since most posts are about Lauren... or "Hmmmm" because I have a hard time thinking up things to write about.

I'm leaning toward the latter.

Second Time Around
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: Blogs
I don't know how many people frequent my little ol' blog here, but if they do and they do so with any regularity and attention to detail, they may have noticed that almost all of my posts have an updated line below the post date line. It certainly looks like I just can't get it right the first time, doesn't it?. Well, in case you're curious (and even if you're not), no, I don't really update them that often. What happens is this. I start an entry and then, due to time constraints, have to save it as a draft to finish up later. When I post the draft to the blog, it posts as the day I started the draft, not the current day. This makes the posts out of order and order is crucial to a computer programmer. To be fair to Tripod, it is possible to change the date of the draft to post, but duh, I keep forgetting to do so. Then I have to go back in and change the post date so that the newest post shows up as the newest post. You'd think I'd learn.

Now I know you wouldn't want to miss even one exciting installment I have to offer, so I have worked diligently on this problem and am happy to report that I think I've got that part down.

Oh sure. No problem. You're very welcome. ;-)

Huh?
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Blogs
Funny how you can start out a post about one thing and it just morphs into something else. I started today's other post about the need to be opposite, with a definite negative bend, and it ended up about me being happy with Lauren's sense of humor.

I wonder, is that confusing to the reader? Sometimes it gets confusing for me because I set out to make a certain point and then realize I've lost it. I've lost it and moved on to another altogether. Sure the two themes are connected, but still. I'm always tempted to change the post back to its original intent and then post a second with the subsequent idea. This time I decided to leave it, so you tell me - is it confusing?

If Your Friends Jumped Off A Cliff...
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: Blogs
Haven't we all heard this before? Whether blogging will turn out to be a cliff, I don't know, but I've decided to run along with the pack. Now, normally I'm just not that talkative so how often I'll have something to say, I don't know that either. But what the heck, it could be some of the best fun I'll ever have!
